When a weapon evolves
- A weapon evolves when you open a treasure chest while it can: it is at its max level, you don't have its evolution yet, and you hold its passive item (at any level). A union (Peachone and Ebony Wings) needs both weapons at max level instead of an item.
- Treasure chests drop from bosses (enemies with a chest), except a zone's boss, which leaves an ancient chest on its dais instead. An Arcana chest with no Arcana left to give opens as a treasure chest.
- Each item of a chest checks for a weapon that can evolve, so one chest can evolve up to 5 weapons.
- In a new player's first 2 runs, until they have evolved anything, the best weapon at level 5 or more evolves once even without its item.
How to get it
An evolution: you get it by evolving Runetracer (see above).
